OLMC Holy Land Pilgrimage - Departure
Our OLMC
pilgrims depart today for their program "Called to Discipleship: In the
Footsteps of Jesus." The group
includes other pilgrims from the eastern United States and the Ukraine. The program explores the life of Jesus and
our faith while walking in His footsteps in Galilee, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and
Jerusalem. It allows the participants the unique opportunity of experiencing
the "fifth Gospel," that is, the geography and historical background of
Sacred Scripture. This is the first time
this unique program is offered in conjunction with the Salesian Pontifical
Seminary - Jerusalem. The program is co-presented by Michael Morison, pastoral
associate & master catechist, and Fr. Biju Michael, president of the
seminary and professor of moral theology.
The seminary will award a pontifical certificate for participation to
each pilgrim. Please keep us in your
prayers as we will be holding our parish in prayer at our daily Masses.
