Spiritual Father
of all, bless our pastor, Fr. Patrick Michaels, on this, the anniversary of his
ordination to the priesthood, a vocation he has embraced with an open heart and
a spirit of love. As you have for so many years, shower your love upon this
gifted man, who is so dear to his flock.
And, in the years to come…
give him deep
faith, firm hope, and a fervent love for your Church,
have compassion
for him when he is struggling,
continue to imbue
him with the little virtues of
gentleness and humility,
strengthen him as
he labors and comfort him when he mourns,
keep him close to
your heart, that his heart might beat with yours,
let his ministry
bring him joy,
let your grace
bring him peace,
and, above all... give
him an awareness of the profound love
of his community, and its gratitude for
his many gifts.
