What do you know about St. Teresa of Kolkata?

Today, Sunday, September 4, 2016, we celebrate the canonization of St. Teresa of Kolkata (or Calcutta), known more familiarly around the world as Mother Teresa.  Aleteia author Elizabeth Lev writes that our new saint’s life story is dangerously compelling, in part perhaps because Teresa's teachings and example speak to the very core of our humanity.

How familiar are you with St. Teresa?  Is it her selfless love and service to the poor that draws you to her story, or her advocacy of a simple path of smiles and gentle kindness for all?  Perhaps you are interested in her strong embrace of the pro-life movement?  Or do you admire her steadfast faith in the midst of her own inner darkness and doubt?  If you feel drawn to learn more about St. Teresa of Kolkata, the resources below offer reading suggestions on this new saint whose simple life was, paradoxically, long and complex -- and, as you will no doubt find, dangerously compelling...
