Remain in me... (Apt Core)
This “techno-trance” or
“electronic-eclectic” version of Sunday’s Gospel is the group Apt Core’s
attempt to give a slightly different (and unexpected?) experience of Scripture
though music and video. According to
their website, the group wants to produce an experience that is “awash in
futuristic soundscapes and global voices that give listeners a taste of the
width and breadth of God’s community on earth.”
The group has said that, “Inside of
every Christian there is a hunger for the truths of God, a desire to know why
we believe what we believe, and a need to meditate on those truths. That is
what fuels the apt.core recordings. It is a collaborative journey through the
mind of the creative and the word of God.”
