Sacred Words: Finding Common Ground

SALAAM, SHALOM:  SPEAKING OF PEACE
presents
SACRED WORDS:  FINDING COMMON GROUND
An interfaith exhibit

This local exhibit showcases over 20 artists from multiple faith traditions, each piece featuring sacred words – in languages as diverse as English, Hebrew, Greek, Arabic, Farsi, and Chinese – as a means to transcend our differences and inspire interfaith dialogue and understanding.

Originally shown in a 2013 exhibit coordinated by an Oakland interfaith coalition, The Faith Trio, this exhibit was curated by Islamic, Catholic, and Jewish representatives from the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center’s “Salaam, Shalom” series committee.

The exhibit will be on view through April 7, 2014.  There is no fee to enter.  Location:  Osher Marin Jewish Community Center, 200 N. San Pedro Road, San Rafael, CA, 94903.  Sponsors include Saint Raphael Church and Mission San Rafael Arcángel.
