Nick Vujicic’s inspiring story has circulated widely on the
Internet. Born without arms or legs, Nick
has devoted his life to teaching others about accepting themselves as made in the image of God’s own nature (an
expression taken from yesterday’s reading from the Book of Wisdom). But more than simply encouraging people to
seek their validation in God rather than in society’s distorted notions of self-worth,
Nick is a catalyst for connectedness.
Visibly radically different, Nick reaches out to connect with others,
not with the arms he lacks, but with the heart he opens to all with immense love, inspiring the life-giving generosity we are all called to
