A Girl Called Mary (Marin Baroque, Nov.19)

  Join Marin Baroque this coming Saturday, November 19, for their performance of A Girl Called Mary, which presents the journey of Mary's life through the poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke and Italian musical compositions from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries...  

   The program includes:  Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, with soprano Rosemary Beecher Bryant and countertenor Dan Cromeenes, Vivaldi's Magnificat, Monteverdi's Lamento della Madonna and Hor che'l ciel et la terra, Grandi's Ave Regina Coelorum, de Rore's Vergine umana, and Tromboncino's Vergine Bello.  


   Performers include:  Maxine Nemerovsky, Gabrielle Wunsch, violins; Margaret Eldridge, viola; Farley Pearce, violoncello; John Dornenburg, violon; Eugene Petrushansky, harpsichord. A complimentary wine reception immediately follows the concert.
